The entire sum of existence is the magic of being needed by just one person.”

Congratulations on considering a celebrant led ceremony. You want to make your special day unique, and Heartbeat Ceremonies is here to help you every step of the way.

Understanding you, and what makes your story special, is central in crafting your unique celebration. You are creating lifelong memories and there are no restrictions on the type of ceremony you can have – so, with my help and guidance, why not design the ceremony of your dreams?

Your ceremony can take place at any time of day and in any venue or space of your choice, with permission. Therefore your ceremony can be as intimate, personal or impressive as you like. As your celebrant, I’ll work closely with you to design a bespoke ceremony tailored to your individual requirements. Remember, a celebrant led service is not legally binding – check out the ‘Important Stuff‘ page.

Of course, you may prefer to avoid the legal bit altogether and opt for a Commitment ceremony. This is a ceremony where couples of any gender publicly declare their love, and make a life-long commitment to each other in the presence of their families and friends.

Whatever you choose, your ceremony will be as unique as you are and perfect for couples who want something authentic, profound, and truthful to their beliefs and traditions.  To give you some ideas, you could include some of the following in your ceremony.

Vows – Choosing your vows together, or writing personalised vows is a beautiful way to declare your love for each other. You could even keep your vows secret from each other until your big day!

Exchanging Rings – This can be a central part of your ceremony, but sometimes couples might choose to exchange gifts instead. Carrying out a warming of the rings adds a beautiful symbolic element and allows family and friends to be directly involved.

Readings – Choosing readings for your ceremony is good fun, and even better if you have friends or relatives to read them. If you can’t find a reading you love, then don’t worry as I can make suggestions.

Music – The music that you choose should reflect your personal style. You may want to include live music or involve your guests in a sing-along. It’s entirely up to you!

Symbolic Elements – Talk to me about including a symbolic element to add meaning to your celebration and create fabulous memories that your friends and family will adore – your photographer will also love it! These are just some of the symbolic elements that you could consider.

  • Hand Fasting Ceremony
  • Love Letter Ceremony
  • Sand Ceremony
  • Unity Candle Ceremony
  • Wine Ceremony
  • Broom Jumping Ceremony
